Answers, before you ask.
- Do you set cookies?
- No. The script stores nothing on the visitor’s device, which is why there is no consent banner to add.
- How do you count one person who opens three tabs?
- As one person. Sessions are resolved server-side, so three tabs and a refresh are one visitor, not four.
- Do I have to connect App Store Connect?
- Only if you want App Store numbers. Web analytics works on its own, and the store and revenue panels stay empty until you connect them rather than showing a zero.
- Can the AI change one of my numbers?
- No. A projection is a separate dashed series that starts where the measured one stops. A verified figure is never rewritten or smoothed.
- What happens on day 15?
- You are asked for a card. Nothing is charged during the trial and no card is taken to start one, so there is nothing to cancel if you walk away.
- Can I see traffic from ChatGPT?
- Yes, as its own channel rather than mixed into direct. One caveat, and it is true of every analytics tool. When an assistant strips the referrer, which is common in its desktop and mobile apps, that visit is unattributable and still lands in direct.
One bill, priced on your traffic.
- One bill for the site, the app and the revenue. Not three subscriptions.
- Pick the tier that matches your monthly events, and move between them.
- Fourteen days free. No card taken to start, so there is nothing to cancel.
Written for the founder doing this alone.
- How to track traffic from ChatGPT and PerplexityAssistant referrals arrive with a hostname you can group, or with nothing at all. Both halves are worth knowing before you decide your direct traffic is a mystery.
- Do you need a cookie banner for analytics? Most founders add a banner because everyone else has one. The rule underneath is narrower and stranger than that, and reading it properly is usually how the banner comes off.
- Why your analytics counts one visitor as three peopleThe first bug a founder reports in their own analytics is usually themselves. Here is what is being counted, and why no two tools will ever agree on the total.
